Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, came together in Abuja on Monday during a Night of Tributes and Service of Songs honoring the late former Agriculture Minister, Chief Audu Ogbeh.
Sharing the encounter on X, Atiku described Ogbeh as a patriot and a visionary, praising his enduring contributions to public service and Nigeria’s democratic development.
The meeting has reignited speculation that both leaders may team up once again under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as they position themselves for the 2027 presidential elections.
Atiku and Obi previously formed a political ticket under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019, garnering over 11 million votes, but ultimately losing to then-President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC.
